Class Summary:
*Warm Up - Students started a new warm up paper.
*Corrected papers were returned to students.
*Students received their March homework calendars.
*Class discussion of Celia Cruz. Students shared what they had learned from their research. As a class, we looked at some pictures of her and listened to part of several of her songs.
*Students played the dice game to practice regular AR verbs in the present tense.
*Students started their AR verb lists.

*Students played hangman using the vocabulary from page 75.
*Students completed activity 2 on page 76 in the text and activities 3 and 4 on page 77 in the text.
*Students read about the 3 young people on page 79 in the text and translated one of the 3 paragraphs into English.

*We discussed the Unit 1 Lesson 2 Quiz which will be given on Tuesday, February 15, 2011. Study the vocabulary from page 75 and the definite and indefinite articles.

Class Summary:
*Warm Up - Students turned in their warm ups for the last two weeks.
*Students created a Valentine Card in Spanish.
*Students completed step two on their circle maps. In the box surrounding the circle, students listed the names of the three people who are important in their lives. Under each person's name, the students listed information about the person such as where the person is from, how old the person is, the person's likes and dislikes, etc.

Homework:
*Finish completing the circle map.
*Finish the Valentine.

Class Summary:
*Warm Up
*Introduction to definite and indefinite articles. Students took notes and completed a practice activity using the definite articles.
*Students practiced the adjective vocabulary.
*Students started their second writing assignment by completing the circle map. The students filled in information about themselves such as where they are from, how old they are, their likes and dislikes, etc.

*Workbook pages 27 and 28

*Make a bingo card using the vocabulary from page 75. Place one Spanish word per box on the front of the card. On the back, write the English translations for 16 of the words and draw pictures for the other 9.
